Moscow Tap ^{Energized Transmission}

Harlan Electric crews replaced 43 tangent structures, six dead-end structures, three miles of fiber, and 15 strings of insulators on a 69kV transmission line while that remained in service.  

Because the work took place while the conductor remained energized, crews replaced the tap – a two-pole dead-end angle structure – with a monopole. Other project challenges included the route, which traversed a reservoir, multiple material issues.
