SLRP SAKR-KINZ ^Transmission

Harlan Electric Company (Harlan Electric) crews converted 7.36 miles of the existing, 69kV AC/DC, single-circuit transmission line from Lauschtown to South Akron into single circuit with the capacity to accommodate a double-circuit line in the future.  

To complete the project, they installed 23 custom steel poles; 53 light-duty steel poles; 21 concrete caisson foundations and associated anchor bolt cages; 130,200 feet of 556.5 KCMIL ACSR; 85,000 feet of 0.567-inch, 48 fiber OPGW; and 16 OPGW splice boxes.
